PSLV-C9 successfully places 10 satellites into orbit

ISRO(Indian Space Research Organisation) set a world record by launching 10 Satellites at a time using PSLV-C9 Rocket, on Monday. The 10 satellite includes 2 Indian and 8 foreign satellites.
This is for the first time that ISRO has put ten satellites in orbit in a single launch. This is also PSLV's twelfth successful flight. The major satellite launched from the PSLV C-9 was India's latest remote sensing satellite CARTOSAT-2A. This is the third time, the PSLV has been launched in the core alone version, without the six solid propellant first stage strap-on motors.
